GCFR Investiture Ceremony: Dignitary List Too Lope-Sided Messrs Falana & Co.

After we called attention to the schedule to the Public Holidays Act as well as section1 of the Act thereof, Buhari issues a press statement signed under his hand hereunder that June 12 public holiday is not now but at a future date.

FUTURE DATE BEING JUNE 12, 2019
Words in a statute could be changed/altered you know but need the national assembly to change laws, right we are all acquainted with the legislative process.
So that is not specifically why I write.  I have read the list of dignitaries invited by Buhari’s regime to June 12, 2018 investiture in Aso Rock, released to Nigerians.
Teaching moment:-, the list is too lope-sided; June 12 was not meant to divide us, once again Buhari demonstrates ‘acclaimed’ sectional bias. For once be a Patriot. Stop dividing us June Twelve is a Unifier.

The entire country North East, North West, North Central, South South, South West and South East voted overwhelmingly for Chief MKO Abiola to win.  All of these regions named above also fought for the actualization of June 12 every section without exception. We, South Southerners lost Chief Anthony Enahoro one of Nigeria’s foremost pro-democracy activists who had struggled for Independence with the Great Zik of Africa, Sir Tafawa Balewa etc before we were born. Enahoro was accused of funding NADECO. His first Son Kenneth passed in May 2017 not a word of condolence from Buhari. They have left family members behind couldn’t the Enahoros be remembered at all, at the minimum invited to the investiture like members of families of other heroes and heroines.

And the Soyinkas and Falana and Ayos on the list what does that say of public conscience that our  civil  rights leaders side with those who consistently refuse, fail and or neglect to apply s42 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria - right to freedom from discrimination. If it were a private event, I may not write, but we the people of Nigeria are paying for it with our Oil wealth paying accommodation for our nation’s guests  in NICON LUXURY Abuja to fete them and to pay other logistics as hinted in the Public Notice signed by the SGF.

What to do?
Being a human rights lawyer practising what you teach juniors, you may condemn the shamelessly lope-sided IV nevermind you are a beneficiary.  You don’t need the food, you are a rich Lawyer.  Sir speak truth to power! Authority Falana declining the invitation and telling the rest of our South West friends and allies and Brothers
and Fathers and Grandpa to also decline it unless a proper list reflects Federal Character as enunciated is announced before D-Day!
Don’t you see Sirs/Madames, the US politicians even during presidential election campaign,  when a presidential candidate goofs, they move quickly across party lines to shape him and to condemn the act, much more renowned rights activists!
