Professor Vincent Okwechime is right.
A-H Sorry my abbreviation for the learned man who insulted Uncle
Itse Sagay SAN those words too strong. Uncle Itse is probably old enough to be
his Father. When your learned Dad or Learned Uncle is Talking you listen you say it’s okay but in my respectful view learned
Dad is wrong. Assuming Prof Itse Sagay was wrong in criticizing whoever!
Prof is a gender activist he said in his next life he would
have more female children when others talk of more male children.
If Prof Sagay SAN were Senate President he would fight for
the GEO Bill to be passed. And just see how the Senate refused to re-list the
Gender Bill despite our position to please let it become law. A senate Dame
Carol Ajie fiercely (independently – yes cos Uncle Itse opposed Saraki I didn’t)
I fought that Senate must by itself elect its officers throughout NASS
leadership election tussle and sustained that struggle until victory. And when
CCT trial commenced against Saraki we wrote papers at the Prof Ben Nwabueze’s Centre
for Constitutional Law studies and were published with the Grand Patriarch Prof
Nwabueze SAN – click
The Kanu Agabis and JB Daudus were smiling to the Bank. Prof
Ben Nwabueze and Ajie were there just intellectualizing throughout a struggle
that took a heavy toll on scholarship.

Mr Obomanu,
Mr Abdullahi is quoted as saying Prof
Sagay was "plucked from obscurity". Excuse me? A
distinguished Prof of law who taught generations of lawyers? And one of the few
to truly earn his 'SAN-ship' for books and other scholarly publications, for
his sterling contribution to legal knowledge?
I won't let this pass without a fight.

Prof Sagay
called them "rogues" and explained what he meant. Mr Abdullahi called

Pedigree does
not confer anyone the right to disrespect others.
“In the said interview, Sagay described the leadership of the
All Progressives Congress (APC) as “the most unprincipled group of people” who
are “encouraging and accepting rogues” in the party. He said: “When I say
‘rogues’, I don’t mean stealing. In literature, when you say someone is a rogue
elephant, it means people who are running riot and destroying the party.”
“The Webster dictionary defines ‘rogue elephant’ as “one whose
behaviour resembles that of a rogue elephant in being aberrant or independent.”
Clearly if we have today, anyone in our government or, by extension, the party
who feels accountable only to his own ego; who does not feel the need to bridle
his tongue for the sake of anything that is higher than himself; who feels
independent of everyone and every institution; that person is Professor Sagay.
Regards,
Arnold

Subject: Re: [OurCountryNigeria] APC slams Buhari's adviser, Sagay,
calls him ‘rogue elephant’
Mr Abdullahi is himself of doubtful pedigree. And to issue
such a cowardly statement confirms this fact.
We all know him as a nonentity, a man who became minister at the
sufferance of Mr Saraki. But isn't that the story of Nigeria, where those
without pedigree who have suddenly occupied top positions on account of
mediocrity, turn around to berate those far superior to themselves?
Mr Abdullahi is a lawyer, obviously an eaglet lawyer. Prof Sagay
has been a Professor and Dean of Law since the 1960s from his days at the
University of Ife, moving on to the University of Benin in the early 80s to
establish the law faculty there as Dean and Prof.
He has taught no less than six generations of lawyers,
including SANs, judges, professors, former and serving governors, law makers, a
judge of the ICC in the Hague and numerous others who have excelled in their
chosen endeavours. Does being a minister and a failed one as Mr Abdullahi was
suddenly confer a non existent pedigree on anyone?
