2018: NBA ELECTION COMMITTEE AND PRESIDENTIAL HOPEFULS

Dear NBA Presidential Hopefuls,

If you are seriously aspiring to succeed AB Mahmoud SAN it’s the turn of the Eastern Bloc to produce a President in 2018. West would have its turn in 2020. If you were born in Lagos State of SW parentage and you live and practice in Owerri, under the 2015 NBA Constitution you are regarded as West, your  State of origin. You cannot file your nomination at this time. As you know the 2001 Constitution was approved by Justice Tsoho’s court  and 2015 Constitution was struck down; campaigns to execute the court orders weakened  AB Mahmoud’s presidency as he  once lost the authority to stay in office until the Registered Trustees met and pleaded with all to let the present officers  complete their term to preserve NBA’s integrity.

I was actually on my way to getting  a mediation team under Hon HA Balogun Life Bencher,  to get AB and JK to reconcile, when  BoT took over the peace initiatives and held 1) That All national officers should stay until end of tenure in 2018 and 2) That 2015 NBA Constitution be rejected for 2001 Constitution.  However AB Mahmoud’s Team did not accept the latter. Besides BoT was confronted with the ordeal that  they were no longer in office and so Team AB went ahead to register and or complete the registration of the 2015 NBA Constitution and have continued to apply it.

If you look at the AGC 2017 list of sponsors you would find it had scant institutional sponsors. That fight  took a toll on NBA’s image as a leading light of society. Now it is over the 2018 NBA e-voting procedure  should start activity if the Election Committee is constituted by Mahmoud God knows when.  But do not nominate Tetengi as Chair of Election Committee please. Augustine Alegeh NO!  May we not have another election squabble in NBA because we might not be able to survive another NBA crisis.

Surest way to avoid NBA Election brouhaha!

First say NEVER AGAIN! 

Second,  accreditation process must be smooth now – we need a new data base not the one NBA inherited from Mr Augustine Alegeh that has got virus in it; a female lawyer should be the Chair of NBA Election Committee enhance its credibility . Women ok.  Not a female Lawyer  though who wants someone to make popular. Look fame comes from expousing the law and the CFRN as a public educator debating legal issues  sounding intelligent.  It is not too soon to start thinking of the new electoral committee; NBA requires time to compile a new data base of credulity.

So that whoever wins the  2018 race and is elected as NBA President,  other candidates would accept and respect the result of the polls, congratulate the winner and work with the  new President. You could see the bad blood between AB and JK such that AB kicked JK out of NEC cos AB saw him and still sees him as a threat to his NBA presidency. Let us avoid 2018 electoral friction please. So that NBA should go stronger!
