The best part of HR Lawyer
Ebun Olu-Adegboruwa’s Channels TV presentation today Friday 25/12/2015:
'Days ago a defendant Nnamdi
Kanu stood in front of a Federal High Court Judge and told the Judge “I have no
confidence in you, you will not try me, I may not enter a plea.”
That he
preferred for DSS to detain him, for an offence for which he has not
been
convicted or even tried at all could keep him for as long as they cared
to
violate court orders that he should be released. Justice Mohammed had to
send the case file back to the CJ FHC for re-assignment.
He said this happened
because the confidence of the ordinary people in the judiciary is apparently waning.
He said the 2015 elections
were conducted under a Democrat ie President Jonathan and supervised by Professor
Attahiru Jega a man of electoral integrity and that the offices of the
President, National Assembly members, Governors and States houses of assembly
were contested and fairly won and despite APC winning more States than PDP, the government led
by President Buhari is keen on a one party State and that is not good for the democracy and human right needs of a
vibrant nation. He gave the sore example of Justice Pindigi, former Chair Rivers
State Election Tribunal who was threatened by DSS, offered Bribe which he reject & was removed from the panel.
